What is Mumbai for me?

"The seashore breeze, the steamy evening vada pavs, the spicy chaat, the noisy traffic, the undone roads, the Bollywood spice and the spirit of the people of Mumbai" makes Mumbai what it is and what it will always be. Mumbai is 'the' best life that one  dreams to live.

When the Mumbai comes to my mind it touches my heart to a very great extent. Mumbai has been my entire life. The roadside food stuffs, the spicy vada-pavs which people grab on their way to their offices, the casual chaat that children have after their long school day is what makes this place special. The noise of the hawkers, screaming their lungs out is a part of the city, without that, this city is incomplete. The life of the people here, need not be sophisticated instead, the smallest of events brightens up their day. People here live with this undying spirit of life which gets renewed every single day. They put up with a not so easy daily schedule yet you will find them chatting and laughing their lungs out in many corners of the city. Life here is an adventure everyday, right from catching a bus, to dealing with a neverending traffic.

When I think of what makes this city, I feel that every little thing matters here.

Imagine, a Mumbai without  traffic, hawkers, dogs, potholes, under construction bridges, garbage, bollywood, there would be complete vacuum without these things and Mumbai would cease to exist. These things make up the 'spirit' of Mumbai, this is what I love, adore and respect the most of the city, its evergreen spirit.

When terror strikes the city my heart weeps and burns with anger to any cause that would disrupt its spirit. But yet again after a gloomy day, the peopleare back witha huge smile on their faces, ready to face another day that is thrown in their way. No matter what calamity comes across, we face it with a united feeling for doing the general good. The people here are filled with genuine niceness and would go out of their way to help anyone whether known or unknown, rickshaw driver or a business man. This is what Mumbai is about. If I change anything about Mumbai, then Mumbai

won't be the same for me. Mumbai is perfect the way it is with each one of its flaws and plus points and is made up of the best people in the world. once you settle here, no place else is good enough for you. This is the city of Dreams and I am living Mine here.
